Always a great place to take the family! We get our whole family together and stay on about 5 to 6 sites. They have tent camping and sites for RVs!
Ok, so we have been camping for 20+ years and have stayed in many converted KOA's, but this was probably one of the worst by far.
Let's start with the good, clean bathrooms. Owner fixed our problem, power box shorted out, but with regular maintenance this would have never happened. Out of the way, and yes if you want to disappear this is the place.
Not good if you have to cancel your reservation less than 10 days ahead of your date - no refund on deposits - only a credit towards a future reservation. $50 down the drain
It's peaceful, owners are awesome, and you can get involved with camp things or stay to yourself..
Too many permanent campers, period. When they have been there so long that they have built pole barns to cover their aged campers, you may have a problem. The overall appearance of the place is dated. Lots are not wide enough to put a camper on, since the perms have taken all the good lots.But what do you expect for &$30 per night full hookup. When the owner complains about the modern campers having electric water heaters and how much power they use, it should tell you something. If you go there, make sure you have an onboard surge suppressor, we had a brown out and it saved us.
Friendly owners but need to wake up and realize the potential that lies within.
Now for the bad. When you come into the campground the owners home and surroundings look like a 1960's junk yard. Everything that has been used at the camp and died resides within 100 yards of the gate.
